Mohammad’s container, a makeshift home created by three friends, was a space that defied the dehumanising design of camps through laughter, kindness and comradery. A poet in a language he could barely master, Mohammad captured the absurdities of the life of a refugee like no one else.

This footage was taken more than three years ago. But his appeal to the “good people of Europe” remains as pertinent as ever.
